WHY CLEANSE?
By Kali Acoba
Our environment today contains thousands of toxic compounds in the form of inorganic chemicals and toxic metals found in the air we breathe, the foods we eat, the
water we drink, the cleaning products, herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers that we use and are exposed to daily. Currently there are approximately 34,000 pesticides
and herbicides registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as well as 65,000 other chemicals. Over one-fourth of the 4 billion pounds of pesticides used
in the world annually are used in the United States alone. More alarming, each year, 10,000 chemicals are being synthesized by industry and added to the already over
1 million in existence. We have seen what these chemicals have done to our environment and it is only reasonable to ask what it is doing to our bodies. With recent
studies showing that the average body is storing any where between 400 to 800 toxic metals and chemical residues, it is no wonder that chronic illness and cancer is on
a rapid rise.
Chemical toxins come into our bodies via air, water, food or direct contact with the skin. Today, virtually all of us are now in a state of toxic overload from
environmental toxins. Even small toxic exposures each day from common sources such as, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, perfume, deodorant, hair dye, newspapers, magazines,
exhaust fumes, carpets, new mattresses, dry cleaning or a newly-painted room will increasingly exceed and even incapacitate our body's ability to detoxify. These
cumulative exposures eventually weaken our bodily systems then become a contributing factor for chronic illness, disease and cancer.
With the hundreds of toxic compounds that are stored in the body's major organs today such as the liver, kidneys, adrenal glands, and thyroid, proactive measures
need to be taken in order to maintain good health. Our best defense against these toxic exposures is to become educated and to take steps to eliminate them from both our
environment and our body. This is done by eliminating our daily amounts of toxic exposures, eating organic foods, and cleansing the body on a regular basis.
My 28 day cleanse program is the logical approach to remedy toxic overload in the body. It is designed to eliminate toxic debris and to set up an internal environment
in which regeneration and healing can take hold. This cleanse protocol not only focuses on cleansing out and replenishing the intestinal tract, but it is also designed
to gently detoxify the liver and kidneys, as well as, rebalance the endocrine system. The cleanse will remove and metabolize unwanted toxic debris and chemical compounds
from the body both safely and effectively. Those who have completed my program have described an increase in mental clarity, more vitality, weight loss, better sleep, less
anxiety, a more youthful appearance, and an over-all improvement of health.
